Samuel de ChamplainMountain Lake PBS was recently recognized for education innovation by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and we are feeling very honored and excited. The MySource Education Innovation Award is given to public media stations like Mountain Lake that are developing ” new approaches for delivering educational content and services that advance learning – on-air, online, in the classroom and at home – for teachers, parents and students. In order to recognize and showcase these efforts, CPB created the My Source Education Innovation Awards.”

“I am pleased to invite Mountain Lake PBS to be among those stations recognized in 2010 with the My Source Education Innovation Award for your innovative approach to education through “Dead Reckoning – Champlain in America Multi-Media Project,” stated Patricia Harrison, president and CEO of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. And we are gladly accepting.

Take a look at the Dead Reckoning~Champlain in America website with lesson plans, maps, a trailer for the documentary and more to see what innovation in education is all about.
